Traditional tea culture and an ongoing cocktail obsession collide at Tell Camellia, a sleek new bar in Central. Born and raised in Hong Kong, founders and mixologists Sandeep Hathiramani and Gagan Gurung combine globally sourced leaves with premium spirits. Start your evening with their personal favourite, the nutty, full-bodied Sri Lanka “teatail” – an inventive combo of evaporated Ceylon tea, coconut, basmati rice, Apé Amma wine, green algae, sea coral and rye whiskey. Gurung says that the pandan-like flavour of the rice and the colour of the algae come together to evoke the seaside character of Sri Lanka.
