Run one of the world’s toughest marathons in Beijing

Running 42km too easy for you? Try adding gravel roads, slick stone ramps and more than 5,000 steps up and down a craggy, ancient fortification. These are just a few of the challenges during the Great Wall Marathon, one of the most gruelling races on the running calendar. The route includes 6km along the beautiful-but-crumbling landmark, and rewards brave participants with stunning views along a world wonder. If the full distance sounds like too much, sign up for the half marathon or the 8.5km fun run, and get training early. Registration for the 16 May 2020 race is now open.
