Tsuen Wan’s heritage conservation project The Mills has been a talking point since it opened in 2018 with the goal of facilitating sustainable and inventive fashion retail and manufacturing, and capturing the history of Hong Kong’s textile industry. Now, its onsite Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT) aims to help you appreciate the broad impact of textiles with its debut exhibition. In “Unfolding: Fabric of Our Life”, 17 regional artists use the lens of the textile industry to examine modern history, politics and labour issues through site-specific installations, screenings, photography and multimedia artwork. The exhibition runs till the end of June.
