It’s a great month for the Hong Kong arts scene, and the spotlight is on shows that put a new spin on timeless works. Case in point: “Van Gogh Alive: The Experience” (from now till 7 July) will see the Dutch painter’s works projected all over the walls, columns and ceilings on the first floor of FTLife Tower in Kowloon Bay, all while set to a classical score. And on 14–15 June, local singer Chet Lam will perform new compositions and reinterpretations of classic tunes with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall.
