Get creative with the kids in Los Angeles

Adults and children alike can pick up brush painting at the Boone Children’s Gallery in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. While you’re there, check out Material Play, a collaborative work created by artist Zheng Chongbin and visiting families.

From film screenings to art workshops, there are kid-friendly activities happening at the Hammer Museum on most weekends. On 30 June, Outdoor Art Moves will see choreographer Zoe Rappaport guide families through movement activities on the UCLA campus.

Housing an impressive collection of art, along with a beautiful garden, The Getty Center will keep the entire family busy for an afternoon. Take the kids to the Family Room, where you can help them decorate a giant illuminated manuscript or build a tube sculpture.
