The duty manager introduced the students to the various functions of the Integrated Ops Control Center, while explaining the factors that have to be considered when determining flight disruptions.

This was followed by a tour of the Airbus A350. Led by Captain Gabriel Yu, students got the chance to see what goes on behind the scenes in the cockpit, how fuel calculation is done, as well as find out how cabin crew members are briefed before a flight.

The tour concluded with a visit to Club Autus, Hong Kong Airlines’ Business Class lounge in the Midfield Concourse, where staff and students enjoyed a meal of local delicacies that included egg puffs and more.
