Challenge your perceptions

If you’re in an introspective mood this February, pop by Roni Horn’s first solo exhibition in Greater China, taking place at Hauser & Wirth inside H Queen’s until 2 March. Over her decades-long career, the award-winning American artist has mastered various mediums, from graphite drawings to installations, photography and sculpture, with which she explores issues to do with identity, meaning and perception. Among the over 30 works curated by the artist, you’ll gravitate toward the blue-glass sculpture with a rather unwieldy name, Untitled (“There is perfect conviction in everything, as if the objects were better informed about themselves and the position they took up in the world. Here you don’t wonder. You don’t have a hunch. You know.”) – it will challenge your perceptions as it interacts with natural light.
