Gearing up for spring with House of V

Even in the dead of winter, homegrown fashion brand House of V knows how to keep things fresh with new creative director Cynthia Mak on board. Inspired by the bold geometric works of architect Frank Gehry and French artist Sonia Delaunay, Mak’s debut collection – “The New Fisherman” – brings together bright colours and shapes with whimsical details like nets and hand-braided ropes. “We want to bring back the classic raincoat but give it a House of V twist,” Mak says about her bright yellow raincoat with a contemporary cut. “We love mixing and matching different textures for a layered feel, so we incorporated Japanese denim, jacquard and a bit of knit this season.”
